Our accommodations have a flair of luxury set amongst a working Cape Breton farm. Come and explore a lost way of life that so many have virtually forgotten. More importantly, come and relax and unwind from the hectic lives that so many live.

Art and Creative Accommodations

We are inspired by those who came before us. Our farm was first settled in the 1840s by migrants from the Scottish Highlands; their spirit and material contributions form a large part of Blackbird Retreat. As artists, we revel in the creative process. The farm is abound with traditionally made art and details, from custom clothing & visual art, wooden bicycles, sustainably harvested wood art & furniture, to gardens and heritage breed farm animals. We believe this place as a whole, is a living piece of natural art to be loved and cherished.
